Israel launched a ballistic missile strike on Senior Hamas figures, in Qatar, two weeks ago,
Six people died in Doha, it’s clear not only that the assassination attempt against Hamas leaders failed, but that Israel set a new boundary in international warfare.
- Battle Lines re-Drawn – Red lines crossed.
Mediators Qatar, who have played a role in releasing Israeli hostages thus far, were deemed as a ‘legitimate target’ as a country primarily of negotiation. Red lines have been crossed in the current war Israel-Gaza war- Israel’s government will not abide by the boundaries of state sovereignty.
- Hostages fate sealed.
Before Israel began it’s offensive on Gaza City, it was agreed upon by Israel’s ally – The US, that group Hamas be allowed to operate inside Doha. All 3 parties Israel, US and Qatar agreed to this fact according to the Qatar PM – Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thanim, who labelled the attacks in Doha as, “State Terrorism”.
“We have to go back to the origins (history of negotiations). The attack that happened on Qatari territory has happened on our sovereignty”, Al Thani said.
“Qatar is a mediator that has been mediating many conflicts. Qatar, when the Hamas office was established, was done with coordination requested by the Americans, by the Israelis, they have been using it for communication channels into Gaza for all those years.
“Any Israeli politician who is trying to portray himself that he is away from this. This happened under Netanyahus government, Benneft government, Liqud government back to Netenyahu again.
“Does that justify for somelike that Netanyahu to come and attack a sovereign nation? That is hosting a negotiation. That is hosting a paper submitted by the United States. It is not only undermining our sovereignty, it undermines the entire negotiation [For the hostages] under the US effort.” Al-Thani said.
“There is a very minimal level of manners, and ethics. This has crossed it. I have no words to express it. We are betrayed.”
He went on to say that, “I was meeting on the the families (Israeli side) that morning, on the morning of the attack. The families are counting on this mediation, they have no other hope. And, I think what Netenyahu has done yesterday he just killed any hope. He has just killed any hope for those hostages.”
On the night prior to the ballistic missile strikes in Doha, the Qatari PM was reportedly working ‘throughout the night’ to move forward with a.deal that was acceptable to both parties. In the words of PM AL-Thani, Netanyahu has “Sealed the fate of the hostages.”
The Qatari PM would also go on to say that one of the dead just aged just 22 years old, and had only just joined the Qatar defence force. The other 5 victims of the ballistic missile were senior members of the negotiation team who worked ‘over night’ to get a deal over the line that was favourable to Israel.

3. The Jewish people must decide between supporting Israels government and supporting the Jewish people.
Whatever you think of Qatar, there is no doubt that it is done more in the past 20 years for Israel then any other mediator when it comes to foreign policy, and hostage negotiation. When you are involved in hostage negotiations, somebody must be on the other end of the telephone. The last significant high profile hostage release involved Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit, he was held inside Gaza for 5 long years. He was released through an effort of French, Egyptian, German leadership that involved complex backchannels of communication. Consider that Qatar has worked diligently on retrieving 148 hostages, in just two years.
The Jewish people must also consider whether they want Mr Netenyahu to represent the people, different from the religion itself. This is because the following countries have been targetted during the current Gaza War – Lebanon, Syria, Iran, Qatar and finally indirect skirmishes along the Rafah border, within Egypt. Israel Prime Minister, Ehud Olmert branded the current Israeli government cabinet as. “a bunch of thugs.” – Who have acted with impunity and disregard for other countries or international law.
Qatari PM Al-Thani summarized, “The identified remains of the other people killed are staffers. They were working with them (Israel) on classwork. Until now, we are trying to identify if there is anyone else missing. There are also other people who are injured. There is another Qatari’s still in a very severe, critical position. We pray for him.
“But, I don’t know, I mean, like you know, going back he [Netenyahu] is targeting, and justifying, He has something [Grievances]… Hamas or Hamas leaders, Justifying that targeting them in another sovereign nation. Just compare it to any other act . How do you see the world react ? … It is unacceptable.”
Israel’s people must consider the legacy and behaviour of the current regime as acceptable or not.

Israel has since apologised to the Qatar PM for its military barrage … more to follow in Part 2 with Hamas Leader, Ghazi Hamed.
